Randall Harp is great composer… I reviewed his sampler CD that he sent me and I was really wowed! … I give it a definite 5 stars out of 5. I would buy anything put out by Mr. Harp!

The (not so) Daily Me

We listened to the cd no less than 5 times. The kids kept asking me to play it again and they were mesmerized by each piece. They said the music reminded them of music they have heard in some of their favorite movies, and no, I did not tell them that Mr. Harp writes musical scores for films. They picked up on that all by themselves.

What can I say? I think it’s safe to say that Randall is very, very good at what he does, and my kids have a good ear for music.

Now, I knew absolutely NOTHING about Randall K. Harp before playing this music. I actually didn’t want to know anything about him so that I could objectively review his cd… The second track, NightFall, had me thinking “Wow, this would be great music for movies and television.” My favorite track is the third one, Heart’s Desire. It is beautiful, romantic and just very emotional… My husband and I often purchase movie soundtracks and when I was done listening to the music, I found myself thinking, “If Randall K. Harp composed music for movies, I would definitely buy his cd’s. Ok, so then I sit down to visit his blog, http://www.wrapmusic.com/ and what do I learn in the About Me section? Well, Randall K. Harp *IS* a composer of “scores for award-winning films.”

He captures a wide range of interests from energetic to tranquil beauty through the use of electronic skill and talent… Overall, Harp has put together a wonderful variety of work. The knowledge and ability he has with electronic music is very impressive. His work would complement any media endeavor and still be quite enjoyable by the individual looking for something from the New Age genre of work. He has made a delightful sampling of a variety of styles. Look for his work in coming endeavors. He is a musician that will be around for quite some time.
